Ryan Foltz grew up in Richmond, Indiana, and began playing guitar at age 12. He was inspired by artists such as John Mayer, Jeff Beck and Steve Vai. He moved to Nashville at 19 years old where he played with several bands before joining with Dan Romer (bass) and Riley Green (guitar).
They formed 16 16 in March 2012 after breaking up another band called Featherweight. In 2013 they signed with Capitol Records Nashville’s subsidiary label EMI-Capitol Records Nashville where they released their first EP titled Nothing Without You which included the singles “Nothing Without You” – which has been viewed over 45 million times on YouTube, Let’s read more about 16 16.
