In 2006, Coleman directed another feature-length film based on a novel by Jean-Christophe Rufin titled “L’Homme du Train.” The film stars Michel Blanc and Cecile de France as two strangers who meet on a train and begin an affair that lasts for more than 30 years.

The film was nominated for several awards including the César Award for Best First Feature Film, a BAFTA Award and an Independent Spirit Award.

In 2008, Coleman directed a short film entitled “The Last Train.” The film tells the story of two lovers who meet on the last train that leaves Paris every night and spend their entire weekend together before returning to their respective lives.

Coleman has worked in television since 2000. He directed the French television series “Paris enquêtes criminelles,” which aired from 2001-2004 and earned him a Best Director Award at the 2003 Monte Carlo Television Festival.
