She graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor’s degree in art and design, where she was also involved with Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. After graduating, she moved to London where she attended art classes with other members of the Society of Women Artists (SWA). In 2008, virlas became an instructor for the school’s printmaking program and taught until 2011 when she left for New York City to pursue her own projects full-time.
